I really don´t know how to feel about that one tbh. They already made some Masters set that had a lot of range for not that great cards. Which they put in. Now they have a even wider spread. I am sceptical at best.
So, aside from featuring cards from all across Magic's history, do we actually know anything else about this set? With as little as we know about Iconic Masters currently, I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around how Masters 25 is going to be different from Eternal/Iconic Masters aside from, you know, just having different cards in them.
I'm actually not complaining about the influx of Masters Products, even when I'm sure they haven't learnt the MSRP lesson from MM3. Ultimately one of the biggest problems in the game is the slowness of reprints and how there are too many cards in the entire game to reliably reprint them all and let's just say this influx is a solution, not the most elegant one (we're going to be in for a fast, bumpy ride), but in the grand scheme of things, why not?
Don't wanna open a new thread about this. Haave you guys noticed that the community manager asks if he can tell about 2 things in the beginning and the brand manager says he can't. Also the narrative designer wants to say something about "the big thing that we're doing for the 25th..." MaRo spoils the new UN set, so that's one thing, but what about that second thing, the "big thing"? Could it be reserved list related? Or maybe a re-imagined Alpha set?
So is this the same thing as Iconic Masters or no?
You're excused of being confused as these two really sound alike. That's nothing to when they finally do the "big reveal": in July 2018, they release another master set: Iconic 25 Master From the Vault Anthology Arsenal.
No, I don't feel they're over-doing it, why do you ask?
